Sparrow, you might be the most awesome person ever. I'm ok on guitar but i can NEVER work songs out so it's a real treat to get to finally get to play the songs i love from the album!

if anyone wants the "voices carry" chords, the transcription by Douglas French is wrong.  for the most part it's a note down on what's listed (ex:  A = G)

so it's been a ridiculously long time since I've been on here, and i can only assume that you found the "all hail me" chords elsewhere, but just in case...

The intro and versus are made up of the same chords:  F, Gb F.  The Gb and second F are an octave higher and there's a cool slidy motion.  (I've totally got the technical jargon down, eh?)
-------------------------
-------------------------
-------------------------
--3-----11----10------
--3-----9------8-------
--1-----9------8-----
 (F)     (Gb)   (F)

The intro repeats this progression twice.
The verse starts off with this progression (...So sorry lady)
and then just moves between the Gb and F (...so sorry now)
Gb F (...I killed your baby)
Gb F (I don`t know how)

Then...
-----------------------
-----------------------
-----------------------
-8-----------------3--
-6-----------------1--
-6-----------------1--
Eb (...So sorry)  Bb (...So sorry now) F Gb F

-----------------------
-----------------------
-----------------------
-8-----------------6--
-6-----------------6--
-6-----------------4--

Eb (... so sorry) Ab (...so sorry now)  F Gb F

For the part that goes "I'm a bad man, I do what I can..." I play this:

-------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------
---8---8-----------------------------------------9---9---9---9--
---6---6------9---9---9---9---11---11---11---7---7---7---7--
-----------6--7---7---7---7----9----9-----9--------------------0--

I'm not sure if it's 100% accurate, but it works

This simply repeats.  The third time, you play this:

-------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------
---8---8---------------------------------------------------------
---6---6------9---9---9---9---11---11---11---12---                        ---14--       --15----
-----------6--7---7---7---7----9----9-----9----10--- and climb up to ---12---and --13---- for the "all hail me" part.

And that's basically it.

American Thighs has got to be one of my all time favorite albums, so if you have any others you'd like tabbed up, just let me know and I'll let you know if I've figured it out.
